Our network is wide and diverse covering urban areas as well as isolated, rural communities, including the Marlborough Sounds, Molesworth Station (New Zealand’s largest farm at the top of the Awatere Valley), and the rugged southern Marlborough coast. Our Business
All our shares are held by the Marlborough Electric Power Trust for the collective benefit of Marlborough electricity consumers, with returns going back to electricity consumers through an annual discount payment.
Since 1996 we’ve grown our business and achieved substantial gains through investments in other companies in New Zealand including network companies and an electricity contracting business, and more recently award winning New Zealand wine company Yealands Wine Group, based in Marlborough. Successful businesses giving solid returns to our shareholders.
